Rapport: Nature in Transition Plans 2025

Insights from Dutch financial institutions and practical guidance to integrate nature into strategy, policy, and investment decisions.

The financial sector is on the cusp of a necessary transition: from merely managing nature-related risks to integrating nature conservation and restoration into corporate strategy and investment decisions. Nature Transition Plans (NTPs) provide financial institutions with a practical framework to make this ambition tangible by translating objectives, actions, and responsibilities into their operations. In doing so, they can contribute to the global Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), which aims to halt biodiversity loss by 2030 and promote nature restoration towards 2050.

The Nature in Transition Plans 2025 report by the TNFD Financial Institutions Working Group Netherlands is the result of a collaboration between WWF Netherlands, the Sustainable Finance Lab (SFL), Deloitte Netherlands, and eight Dutch financial institutions. It explores how the international TNFD guidance can be applied in the Dutch context.
